From Point Reyes, California, to Cape Henlopen State Park in Delaware, this 6300+ off-road trail is dedicated to non-motorized users. The group works to create, manage and promote the trail network.

American Hiking Society
National group which promotes and protects America’s footpaths. Includes Trail Conservation and Policy section with current trail issues.

American Horse Council
The AHC is the national legislative representative for the horse industry. The mission of the AHC is to promote and protect the equine industry by representing its interests in Congress and in federal regulatory agencies on national issues of importance.

Equestrian Land Conservation Resource
A national voice for a united equestrian land conservation movement which promotes the protection of open land and provides information to those who wish to maintain access to land for equestrian activities.

Since 1944, dedicated to the acquisition and preservation of trails, good horsemanship and equine legislation.

Land Trust Alliance
National leader of the private land conservation movement, LTA promotes voluntary land conservation and provides support to 1200 nonprofit land trusts nationwide.

National Pony Express Association

Oregon-California Trails Association
Nonprofit organization based in Independence, Missouri, dedicated to education about, preservation and enjoyment of the trans-Mississippi emigrant trails.

Pacific Crest Trail Association
Nonprofit organization which focuses on keeping the 2,650-mile PCT — which runs from Mexico to Canada — open for generations to come. The PCT site includes a page specifically for equestrians:
