Dr. Trish Dowling will present two sessions: Prohibited Substances in Feed and Forage and Conformation: The Relationship of Form to Function.
Lauren V. Schnabel, DVM, PhD, Diplomate ACVS, Diplomate ACVSM, will discuss Lameness Diagnosis & Intra-Articular Therapies, providing insight into diagnosing and treating lameness in the equine athlete.
Dr. Kathleen Crandell will tackle Hydration & Electrolytes, an important topic for every endurance rider, whether preparing for a shorter ride or the toughest 100.
Dr. Carol Clark will present Metabolic Diseases and Disorders, exploring conditions endurance riders may encounter and what we should know about managing our horses.
Speaker panel on The Mental Resilience of Endurance and Conditioning Your Equine will explore the mental side of endurance and the relationship between rider preparation, resilience and equine conditioning. Panelists include Dr. Claire Godwin, Angie McGee, and Heather Reynolds.
There will also be hot topics, membership and committee meetings, an exhibit hall with favorite vendors and special deals, and a dance on Friday night. To top it all off, the regional and national awards presentations where we celebrate AERC’s riders and horses (and mules). Hope you will join in the fun and learning of convention in a historic location.
