ANDRETI+/ -- OWNER CORRECTION! The March EN's yearbook issue has an error on page 14. The 3,000-mile horse Andreti+/ is owned by Heidi Helly of the Pacific Southwest Region. The Arabian gelding, born in 1997, amassed 3,615 miles by the end of the 2009 ride season. Congratulations to this fabulous equine endurance athlete.
 
THANKS TO ALL WHO ATTENDED CONVENTION 2010! It was a great get-together to celebrate endurance riding. Congratulations to Pard'ners Award Winners Robert Ribley and Tari, new Hall of Fame inductees Dave Rabe and Tulip (owned by Les Carr), and Trail Advocate of the Year winner Deirdre Monroe. The AERC office will reopen on Friday, 2/26. Your comments about the convention and venue are appreciated.

2010 NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP RIDE NAMED: The Sand Hills State Forest in Patrick, South Carolina, will be the location for the 2010 AERC National Championship rides. The 100 is on October 14, with the 55 on the 16th. Patsy Gowen is the ride manager. Check out the online ride calendar (SE Region), and watch Endurance News for more information as it becomes available.

RULE CHANGES FOR 2010: You'll receive a revised rule book with your new membership card! Please check it over carefully before your first ride of the year.

New!100-MILE RIDE INCENTIVES FOR 2010:  With a new 100-mile incentive program and increased points given for 100-mile rides (2.0 points instead of 1.5 as previously), 2010 is the year to do your first 100, or plan for a few! Check out your new pocket rules book, coming your way with your 2010 membership card. Watch for announcement on recognizing your retired 100-mile horses early in 2010.

AERC EQUINE OWNERSHIP CHANGES: To be sure your horse's awards come to the correct owner, let the office know if you have acquired an AERC-registered horse. There is no charge for ownership changes from one AERC member to another! The office number is 866-271-2372.

AERC CERTIFIED CONTROL JUDGES: Congratulations to the AERC control judges who have passed the AERC voluntary certified control judge program! Click here for the latest list of AERC-certified control judges. For more information contact the AERC office.

SHINE & SHINE ONLY CANCELLED: Wet weather has caused the cancellation of the March SASO, scheduled for March 13 in the West Region.

THE OLD DOMINION NO FRILLS CANCELLED: The April 10 OD No Frills (NE Region) has been cancelled.

CANCELLATION: The April 9 (30/50/75) and April 10 (30/50/75/100) Florida Frill-Free Frolic in the Southeast Region has been cancelled.

CANCELLATION: The Leatherwood Mountain Challenge 25/50/100 on April 10 in the Southeast Region has been cancelled.
