The last five miles of the OD trail are preceded by a vet check at Liberty Hall at the base of Land's Run trail going up and over the Blue Ridge Mountain in Shenandoah National Park. This is the daylight view of the Blue Ridge that the 25 and 50 milers see leaving the check. Only the front runners for the 75 and 100 miles will see these mountains in the daylight.
