The sunset in ridecamp Friday evening before the ride.  We had been hearing storm reports on the radio about hail, heavy rains and flooding.

Yet in camp, we mostly only had a really incredible lightning storm to watch!

Chief waiting for morning to come.

Muffin and Ajax on their trailer, eating.

The moon, as the storm blew by.

Chief in the morning on the first day.  I've got all 4 of his Epics on, and am getting ready to tack him up.

The sunrise. Day 1.

A herd of....wild......TIRES!!!!

More tires...

Pipers Casino on the corner of Hwy 95 and Hwy 50.  We have a water stop here.

Another shot of the casino.  Derby Ditch used to have a vet check here.

Chief back in camp at lunch on the first day.  He's eating (boy that's a surprise, lol)

What do you mean it's time to go back out?

Looks like the sunset after a great day of riding!

The clouds were welcome in the afternoon.

The 2nd day of the ride.  This day was harder, with a lot more climbing.

We are going up, but are just at the bottom of the long climb.

Holy Toledo in the foreground, with some of the scenery as we climb up.

Looking ahead, and we go up and up and up!

looking back down, there is Les and Tulip coming up from behind.

Dave Rabe and Holy, as we keep heading up the mountain.

Looking ahead at the radio tower, that from down below looks like it is Wayyyyyy up high! and now we are riding right by it.

Just ridden past the tower, and now are dismounting to lead down thru the rocks.

Dave and Holy lead off first, so I won't slow them down when I stop to take photos (or, fall on my butt, which is more likely, ha ha)

Continuing down, and looking around at some of the scenery. Fort Churchill is up ahead to the right (you can sort of see rows of trees with green in the top right of the photo)

Looking towards Lake Lahontan

Looking down the trail.

Dave up ahead, as we walk thru the rocky part.

more scenery.

Beautiful weather!

Did I mention that it was rocky thru here?

Dave gets to the top of this little climb that I am just starting.

It is rockier than it looks, here is a closeup.  The trail is dead straight ahead!

Looking back.

Dave up ahead, we are on the ridgeline but still have a long way down to go.

More scenery with Lake Lahontan

Turning now to go down thru a wash

Chief looks ahead.  He walks a lot faster than I do, so I really slow us down when I get off to lead.

H20!  Yippeeee...

Tulip also drinks.

Connie and Carolyn catch up to us at the water.

Looking ahead, we aren't done climbing!  Oh no......

Looking over at more scenery

Looking ahead, more climbing coming up!

up we go!

Les and Tulip meander along behind

We went up, and now we are going down again, heading towards Highway 50, then a turn left and lunch!
