Top 100 Mile Rider Interviews

The Education Committee gives a hearty thanks to Karen Chaton and Lisa Schneider for the idea of "Top 100 Mile Rider Interviews" and developing the questionnaire. While these interviews reflect the individual views of the riders and not official advice of AERC, these leading riders provide wise counsel based on many miles of successful riding. The astute riding will find many common themes as well as some difference in approach. A common theme is that the each horse is unique and the wise rider knows his or her horse and tailors a program to that horse. We strongly recommend reading this interviews and learning from these outstanding riders.

The riders who appear in these interviews were among the top 10 in number of 100 mile rides in the 1996-2004 ride seasons or owned the equines that participated in the most 100 mile rides in that period; or, they have completed 30 or more one day 100's.
